The Coris Bank International group has benefited from a financing agreement of 328 billion CFA francs from the African Export-Import Bank, Afreximbank. It was the CEO of the Coris group Idrissa Nassa himself who affixed his signature on June 16, 2022 in Cairo, Egypt. The agreement will make it possible to finance activities in the nine countries where Coris Bank International is established.
It is a “trade financing agreement, for an amount of 500 million euros, or the equivalent in FCFA of 328 billion”, from which Coris Bank International benefits. The signing took place on June 16, with the president of Afreximbank, Prof. Benedict Oramah, on the sidelines of the work of the General Assembly of this African import-export bank.
Idrissa Nassa, boss of Coris Bank International, finds the support quite substantial. « This significant support given to the Coris Group will be used to finance the supply of basic necessities and consumer products, for the benefit of the populations of the 9 countries in which the Coris Group is established », he declared.
According to him, “strong and committed relations between African institutions like these [Coris Bank and Afreximbank], constitute one of the keys to the development of our continent”.
It should be noted that the Burkinabè private bank is present in Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Benin, Togo, Guinea Conakry and Guinea Bissau. It finances many sectors of activity there, which makes it one of the most important banks in West Africa.
